Does life seem futile? Does it lack meaning? The truth is that life is full of meaning and that there is a purpose worth living for...

First of all, God exists and has a plan for YOUR LIFE! In the Bible, which is the basis for truth because it is God's message to each of us (2 Tim 3:16), God tells us that, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD , 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" (Jer 29:11). The Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth (Gen 1:1) has a specific plan for your life! Now, THAT is meaning for life! However, there is one small problem:

God is holy or perfect (1 Pet 1:16). We as human beings are not. When we mess up and don't do what God says, the Bible calls it sin. In Romans 3:23, the bible tells us, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory [the standard] of God." Then in Romans 6:23 it tells us that the wages --or payment we recieve-- for sin is death. This death it talks about is spiritual death, meaning our spirit is separated from God now and forever if we do not deal with it.

You see, the problem is this: God is perfect, we are not. And, in our present condition, we are never going to be able to experience any sort of peace with God, or will we be able to experience his special plan for our life. Thankfully, God did not just leave us like that.

God loves us very much (John 3:16) and he found a way to allow us to have a personal, meaningful relationship with him. Since we are all tainted by sin, God had to clean that away somehow before we could be able to be accepted by him. Since the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23), someone had to die in order for us to be made right with God. So, God decided to send a perfect person to die and pay for every sin ever commited, he himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, came to earth and died for our sin (Rom 5:8). The solution, therefore, has nothing to do with us! God did it ALL for us!

Therefore, in order to be made right with God and find His special plan for your life you only have to do one thing: simply believe that Jesus is the one getting you to heaven, not you.

If you would like to experience the life God has in store for you, all you must do is pray a simple prayer. Simply tell God that 1.) you know you are not perfect; 2.) no matter what you do, you cannot live up to his perfect standards; 3.) tell him that you believe that his son came to earth to die in order to pay the penalty for the sin you commit; and 4.) tell him you are trusting in Jesus alone to get you to heaven. Then, if you would like, thank him for saving you.

When you pray just keep two things in mind. First, praying is just talking to God like you were talking to a close friend. You don't have to use big, fancy words; God understands. Secondly, God hears your heart. You can't trick him by only saying words. So, make sure it's your heart praying, not just your mouth.
